My interest in photography began while in the military. One of my friends was an amateur photographer which sparked my interest, so I purchased a Minolta SRT 101. I started taking a few photos, but then stopped when I returned home from the military.

In the early 1990's I started a bluebird nestbox program and I wanted to record my activities. It didn't take long before I started to buy more equipment and developed an interest in landscape photography. After a couple of years I upgraded to a Pentax 6x7 and started to market my photos with some success. Another 3 years went by and I was ready to move up again. I purchased a 4x5 view camera, loved taking photo's with that camera. After another 3 years, I suddenly and quite unexpectedly got on full time at work, thereby letting my photography fall to the wayside.

In 2014 I started collecting insects. That winter, while researching the identification of the insects on the internet, I started coming across amazing insect photos. At this point, I researched the methods and upgraded to digital equipment. I started to photograph my insect collection, but it didn't take long before I wanted to start taking landscape photos again. So now, I've arrived at the point of gaining an internet presence to store and showcase my photos.
